Songwriter Joined by Kenny Vaughan, Alison Krauss,
Tim O'Brien, Sarah Siskind on Seventh Album
" It all starts with a song, but for Julie Lee’s seventh album out March 6, it actually started with babies - not her babies, but the offspring of some of Nashville’s best musicians. As a longtime respected singer/songwriter, and Nashville being Nashville, Lee’s occasional side job of babysitting was for the likes of Kenny Vaughan (award winning guitarist for Marty Stuart, Lucinda Williams and more) and Mike Bub (IBMA award winning upright bassist for 18TH SOUTH/ Del McCoury Band). They continually offered their services if she would get out and play again, and thus The Baby Daddies were born at a live show in
2010, inspiring her to get back into the studio last year.
On Julie Lee & The Baby-Daddies, Lee’s lauded and versatile mezzo-soprano inhabits songs inspired by all forms of Americana music, backed by several Baby-Daddies, as well as with special guests Alison Krauss, Tim O’Brien, Ron Block, and Sarah Siskind among others."

Hey Julie, just wanted to say that I really enjoyed getting to talk with you a couple weeks ago when you were here at the Sundance Gallery. I was inspired by you, and am happy to say that things were already working together so my group will do a Christmas benefit concert again this year. I'm really glad my sister got to talk with you in NYC, otherwise, I might never have seen you here! Have a Merry Christmas.

Julie, I know you hear how amazing you are OFTEN, but I would like to just say that I was enthralled with your music and the lovely lyrics that have little vinyets to accompany and give depth and breadth to the music.
However your strength is definitely your ability to connect to those who you minister to through the gift of song. I was touched by your empathy for a fellow Navy mom, and your generosity to give her your CD to offer comfort in her grief. I cannot wait to share you with my friends and loved ones so they too can hop in the Julie Lee pool of peace, joy and love.
God Bless you and those you will love on and touch as you walk through this world anointing His beloved with your words and music. ~Amber

I just Skyped my sister Elizabeth Netsch (with Tim and the girls, of course), and when she mentioned you'd been over recently, I told them how I'd just been listening to one of your albums today. Rest assured that we're building your fan base here in Colorado. If you're ever interested in coming out here, I'd LOVE to put together a house concert! I so treasure your talent and your heart as it comes through your music. Many thanks for the skill, bravery and openness you share with all of us. I truly hope that our paths will cross one day. ~Emily

Hi Julie! just wanted to let you know again how much I enjoyed talking with you and hearing you sing this week. Your song transcended where you were writing it from in your heart to where I was listening from my heart in my own circumstance. Such genuine songwriting and crafting of word and feeling. When I came to your site and your voice could be heard, my almost 4 year old said, "Is that Arielle?" Her favorite by far...we will be visiting your site often! Joanna
